Henry and his brother\, Richard Bloch\, founded H&R Block in 1955 in Kansas City\, Missouri. \nBloch\, the son of a prominent Kansas City lawyer\, joined the Army Air Corps shortly after the United States entered World War II in 1941. He was a navigator on B-17 bombers and was awarded the Air Medal for his combat missions over Germany.– Died: April 23\, 2019
